Chương trình nhằm thúc đẩy tinh thần đoàn kết và khoan dung cho thanh niên châu Âu về những vấn đề liên quan đến họ trong việc định hình tương lai của Liên minh, qua đó thúc đẩy sự hiểu biết lẫn nhau trong và ngoài biên giới EU thông qua hình thức học tập trao đổi kiến thức,  đối thoại giữa các nền văn hoá, và khuyến khích sự tham gia của tất cả những người trẻ tuổi
